GOP frontrunner Donald Trump reportedly said he might file a lawsuit over fellow GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)’s (R-TX) eligibility to be President of the United States.
“I’ve said Ted has a lot of problems — number one, Canada. He could run for the Prime Minister of Canada and I wouldn’t even complain because he was born in Canada,†Trump said during a campaign event in Iowa. “The Democrats are going to sue if he ever got the nomination within two days. There have already been two lawsuits filed, but they don’t have standing. I have standing to sue. Can you imagine if I did it? Should I do it just for fun?â€
Trump said he was confident he would defeat Cruz and win the Republican nomination, so he doesn’t need to file the lawsuit.

If he won't file the suit, how can we trust him to build the wall? Is Trump all talk? We'll see if he doesn't file the lawsuit soon.

There are two problems with these objections: the merits and standing. Judges have summarily dismissed both on the merits and on standing. But, it could be argued that dismissal on the merits wasn’t serious.
Judges have ruled that only a rival has standing. Trump has standing. If he’s not just jerking people around on this (which is his right being as this is a free country), he could file a case, and since it couldn’t be summarily dismissed for lack of standing, it could get serious consideration on the merits. It could be interesting.

The sooner the better. Cant have this be an issue in the general election. Too much at stake. Although, if Cruz is taken out, Carson is going nowhere, who knows what is going on with Rubio. I read he cut back on advertising.... Right before the primarys? Weird! I would hate to see the GOPe try to cram one of the remaining down our throats.
And for all my poking fun at this, I am serious that Trump should:
A) File early Monday a.m.
B) Stop.

Owebowmao the Marxlim usurper has been proof enough for me of the wisdom of the founders insisting on no foreign influences by way of requiring a natural born citizen as President. No foreign parents, no foreign births. If you can be anything else at birth, you can’t be a natural born citizen. Natural born citizen means you cannot be anything else but a US citizen.

It might hurt him but it’s the right thing for Trump to do. It shows me that he’d force the court’s hand as president. Assertive in upholding the integrity of the Constitution.
If he is going to say these things, he should be willing to back them up with actions.
