I think you are right.
This entire fall /winter campaign has been a real eye opener as to how so many can be led astray by charisma and dominance.
Sort of reminds me of the co-dependent wife breaking away from her abusive husband, only to marry another abuser.

Here is Cruz out there after having stood alone on the Senate floor against Obamacare,willing to take up the battered and go against the establisment, and they bypass him for another abuser.

That's right.....many can be led by bright shiny packages....especially when they're delivered to them just for that purpose. Mankind hasn't changed all that much from the garden when the enemy of mens souls dazzled Eve...and he did so with his style of appearance and his deceptive words...... God has answered our prayers by giving us Ted Cruz....we asked and asked for so many years, all the time he was cultivating and grooming Cruz for this time.....giving him the courage and stamina to take on Congress, the UN and Supreme Court.......oftentimes alone. ..in order to give us this choice who's reputation, lifestyle and being walks the talk.

..... Trump simply hijacked it all via his copying everything of Cruz's issues he had fought openly, twisted them sufficiently enough to fit his style of delivery.... calling them his own....and then ran with his counterfeit package against the real thing.....of course using his celebrity and his years of manipulating media to assist him.

Very difficult understanding how even the establishment now joining with Trump, that the people are still so blind to who they're supporting. It's so obvious the GOP/Demorat members priority is keeping selves in power and their gravy train going by supporting Trump....Trump is a "dealmaker" (they said),...... who will surely "capitulate" because he's one of them so they'll be assured things will continue as before with a bit more they'll have to give ...better than loosing it all.
