Trump is a liberal arts his core who will campaign as a converted conservative and would govern as a center left pragmatist.
RE: would govern as a center left pragmatist.
Why not center right?
I look for a Trump administration to be center right. Which jives with the majority of the citizens living in the US. Uber left and uber right are small minorities. Vocal but small.
So we send lots of “conservative” congressman to DC and we get the Ryan budget. What many of us see is that the republican establishment is one of the problems. Obama is one of the problems. The media is one of the problems. Trump is like picking up a 4 7 10 split. He is not perfect but if he wins you have accomplished so much that its worth almost any sacrifice. He takes away the power of the 30 second spot. He takes away the power of those sanctimonious talking heads who stare seriously at you and lie straight into your eyes. And he takes away the drive to keep people like Graham in office, a republican that always votes against us. Trump is opening a path to elected office that does not go through the back door.
And Bill Maher actually got something right. He postulates that Trump’s success is a reaction to a world that has gone too PC. Like Double Speak, political correctness is a real problem in America. It dumbs down our discourse and it alienates those who would take the contrarian view. And if history teaches us anything, its that the contrarian view is often the right view.
