Most Cruz supporters don’t know what an app is.

So funny!

What is even funnier is that you are probably spot on right.

” like it or not, we need Low-Info Voters to win national elections.”
Don’t worry, Trump is obviously getting them. wink”

Surprised that you’re willing to degrade a majority of your fellow Freepers with your post.

Caucus locations change. Four years ago mine was at a church and this time it is at a middle school a couple of miles away. It moved, I have not.

“But most Cruz supporters in Iowa are over 90 years old and so half of Cruz support will be dead before caucus day.”

At which point they’ll be Democrat voters.

“But the big question is will the Trump voters show up?”

Last night an FNC Democrat talking head said that even though Trump voters will stand in line for four hours in 10-degree temperatures for a rally, they probably won’t get out to vote for him. Arrrgh! Sounds a bit like Baghdad Bob.

During his 1956 presidential campaign, a woman called out to Mr. Stevenson “Senator, you have the vote of every thinking person!” Stevenson called back “That’s not enough, madam, we need a majority!”

Cruz voters are veteran foot soldiers,

****************

Speaking of Veteran and foot soldiers, it is a damn shame they are excluded from the IOWA process
when they are out of state in their military service duties.

Voting should be taken seriously and often times people don’t do their duty.
But to exclude the military......

In Iowa this caucus process goes through four stages before the final selection is made
just before the national GOP convention.

There are 1681 preciencts in the 99 counties and each precienct has a caucus. From
that caucus people are selected to go to the county caucus and there they select
some lesser number to go the congressional district caucus where the final group is
selected to go the State Convention to make the final choice.

Registered Dems can’t caucus in Iowa GOP. If new voters aren’t registered, they can’t caucus with GOP. Iowa caucuses are all about organization at the precinct level. All 1,600+ precincts.

And who are the intelligent ones who better spent their time? Those who spend days of time carefully looking at the issues and cast their one vote? Or those who don”t waste the time and show up every now and then to cast their one vote?

Both votes count the same.

Got it. I misread what you meant on that post.

As I've said before, I like Ted Cruz and I would certainly vote for him in the general if he gets the nomination. But I don't have my hopes up that he would win in the general. Republican votes alone are not enough to win a general election. We would need a significant percentage of the Independent vote and as many as we can get of the traditional Democrat vote (i.e. Reagan Democrats). I'm not happy about that being the case but it's a simple function of demographics as they currently exist. We cannot win the general election without significant crossover vote - and Ted currently has very little crossover appeal.

Ah! Cool! Thanks for pointing that out, Bobby_Taxpayer. I learn something new every day. It still doesn’t change the target audience, tho, IMHO, which is why he’s making inroads with Dems and Independents.

Those democrats better get their registration changed. You have to be registered as a Republican to vote in the Republican caucus.
