Having been an Army Reserve and Guard Mess Sargent in my youth, I always got a big kick out of his can-do attitude. In any unit the Mess Sargent and the Supply Sargent were guys you wanted on your side.

That attitude, respectful of others efforts and plain cut and dry about his expectations was a wonderful part of the guy. Prayers for his family, respect for his service and a big hurrah for a genuine Man.

I am very sorry for your loss. Johnny always added very intelligent comments to discussions. I remember when he announced he had the cancer, that was such a shock.
