Apology joyfully extended, by all means, Reset!

Finny, where did you see me post on FR that I prefer any other announced candidate over Ted Cruz? You haven't because you couldn't; it doesn't exist. And yet, a quick check of my posting history reveals posts that I have stated clearly and repeatedly that Ted Cruz is the ONLY candidate I've supported financially.

I am very happy to remove you from the Trump First list! As you so astutely recognize, declining Trump does not necessarily mean embracing Cruz. At first I tried to keep it to Cruz supporters only (and could if I wanted to complicate it, but it's time consuming enough as it is). All I want to know is the truth for myself. Browsing through threads fails to present the whole picture in terms of individual voices. Most voices would prefer someone other than Trump, and most of them are okay with Cruz.

In a roundabout way, it's how you ended up on the wrong tally. I read in-forum a lot. I recognize the names of posters you repeatedly disagree with, and know them to be very staunch pro Cruz folks. I see enough of such posts, and stick you on the pro Trump tally. In politics, the old "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" or however that saying goes.

Primaries are not about Democrats. They're about Republican's chance to advance an agenda. So yes, it is a political war within the GOP. Big surprise, that.

I know where I stand with regard to my vote, and that's with my tagline. I was surprised at how many apparently agreed with me on essentially the same principle, in 2012, because it is how I voted (my mother, an active Republican who for the first time in 60-odd years of voting straight party ticket, declined to vote at the top of the ticket in 2012).

I did vote because I believe it is a moral duty to vote if one is informed, and I was informed. So I used my vote because I recognize the truth of my tagline. I could own a plurality for either leftist. It's the best I could do to weaken a bad thing: leftism.

So I am naturally watching Trump with some trepidation.
