what kind of deals has Trump made with scumbag Andrew Cuomo, and the NY Cuomo Family Dynasty

Why don't you do the research instead of letting the conspiracy theories rattle around your polluted head?

So his words, his own words staring you right in the face glaringly saying it isn’t enough? Wow, can I sell you some property I have along the coast of Louisiana? I promise it is completely dry.

I remember 1932 Germany. Too late......they got what they voted for but did not want. Too late.

I remember 2008/2012....same/same......we are living with the monster they hoisted on us........

Well but of course. My candidate in his own words over the last week is coming out as the liberal and establishment he is. Not someone else’s words, not the media, not whackos but Trump in the raw and unfiltered.

If this is too hard to take then maybe I’d suggest a new candidate?

Trump is the battlefield surgeon. He will stop the bleeding and stabilize the patient.

Is that's what Trump has said, or is that just what you have written on your "What Trump Means to Me Chalkboard"?

I've been saying for two weeks now that he's done his deal with the GOPE. No doubt.

When this guy gets to the convention and has it wrapped up, and then picks McConnell for his VP.... the servers here at Free Republic will melt.

But they will be invested in him already, and that will be that.""""".......

Yes, too late when they realize what they have done. I can see the "buyers remorse" from here. Germany learned that lesson the hard way, too late.

A short anecdote detailing the DIFFERENCE between the crass, power-seeking POLITICIANS of yesterday and today with a REAL STATESMAN. It’s most likely WHY the man in this story had to be murdered. You attach the name of YOUR favorite POLITICIAN as appropriate.

Just prior to the 1982 national legislative session, the late Georgia congressman Larry McDonald (killed in KAL 007) toured the state with then-Senator Sam Nunn on one of those periodic pre-session dog and pony shows. Traveling with them was a young female reported for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Early in the tour, Larry chatted with this young lady and told her that if she sent honestly reported events on the tour, her bosses back in Atlanta would either “spike” them or rewrite them to put the worst possible spin on them to make him look as bad as possible. She replied that, as responsible journalists, they wouldn’t do that. Larry chuckled.

At one of their stops, the audience consisted largely of local peanut farmers. Sam Nunn went first with a report on the upcoming Senate agenda. During the Q&A, one of the farmers rose and asked his position on the peanut subsidy. Nunn replied that, since it was so important to the Georgia economy, he supported it and would continue to do so.

When it was Larry’s turn, he reported what he believed was in store for the House session. When the Q&A began, the same farmer rose and asked Larry about the peanut subsidy. Larry paused – then declared that he did not and could not support it as it was completely unconstitutional and went on for several minutes to explain why. When he finished, there was stony silence for what must have seemed an eternity. Then ever so slowly, a few of them clapped, then more applauded then, in small groups they began standing to give a standing ovation to the man who’d just told them a truth many of them never thought they’d ever hear from an elected representative, most likely because – in their hearts – they knew it WAS the truth.

Later that day, the young reporter came to Larry with tears in her eyes and told him that, while she’d reported EVERYTHING that happened at that earlier stop, her editor in Atlanta had rewritten it in such a way as to make McDonald look like a buffoon.

But then, the Atlanta Fishwrapper ALWAYS did that to Larry.

And that’s why Larry had to be “eliminated”. And it’s why guys like Cruz and Trump had better watch their “6”.

Unless, of course...??

**We’ve got to get things done folks, OK? Believe me, don’t worry. We’re going to make such great deals.**

I don’t like this and don’t like what I’m thinking.

I thought we didn’t want to be making deals with reid and pelosi - deals always mean WE THE PEOPLE lose.

And reid and pelosi always tell conservatives NO DEAL, so we should be running over them with Trump as president. Right? I thought he was sick of it too. What am I missing?

Now, if he’s talking about getting rid of zerocare and okaying the pipeline ... then fine, make a deal — but all we need to close that sort of deal is a Republican president .. isn’t that what the establishment has been telling us about the things we want? Yes it is, right after they told us to give them the Senate and Congress and they’d get things done.

And we don’t need the establishment if we elect Trump, I thought, anyway.

Omg! I’ve been looking for something like this reply for quite sometime and just couldn’t put words to it!!! You nailed it and it is EXACTLY what I’ve felt most supporters try to do. Try to imagine he said something to me that he never really said. Don’t they out people in hospitals in heavy doses of meds for this?

Trump is thinking ahead to the general election and he needs to bring the GOPe on board. Trump isn’t going to go full board establishment. But neither is he going to continue to call them stupid and traitors, much less liars like Cruz did.

But I wouldn’t be surprised to see Trump call out some names once he is in office when Congress doesn’t do what Trump wants.

And I’m okay with Trump being for Trump. Trump has good ideas for this country and he loves America. So let Trump be Trump.

Speaking of "let's make a deal", what kind of deals has Trump made with scumbag Andrew Cuomo, and the NY Cuomo Family DynastyTM

One thing about the whole "Art of the Deal" aspect of a Trump candidacy - Trump supporters seem to think he will be able to deal with Congress the way he deals with businesses. But in order to make deals, you first have to have something the other side wants as much as you want what you are asking for. And one big piece of leverage in making business deals it the risk that you will walk away and make a deal with someone else instead. You can't do that with Congress - there is no one else with whom you can deal. All you can do is try to buy off enough votes to get what you want passed.

As a businessman, Trump bought off politicians the old fashioned way - he bribed them with campaign donations. What will he be offering them as president? Would he agree to higher taxes or more restrictive gun laws in order to get some of his immigration policies passed? We already know he doesn't have a long history of opposing such ideas.

I trust Trump to do exactly what he say’s he’s going to do.

Implement touch back amnesty which will allow not just the 20 million illegals that are here now to come back legally but bring their families with them making it about 60 million 3rd worlders we get to take care of.

That’s going to be a damn big gate in that wall to let that many in.

Krouthammer makes the case that Dole represents the old establishment and that Trump needs someone from the new establishment to round out his win.

He probably doesn't really need that, as Trump will win anyway. But we don't want the GOPe voting for Hillary/Sanders. And we don't want them actively fighting Trump during the general election.
