The truth comes out. RNC and Reince know that Trump is their boy.
They had no choice.
They may have booted NRO, but they actually support the desperate and panic stricken hoard of loons and neocons.
Oh please. If those articles had been written against Cruz you'd be fighting mad. And I have news for you. If Cruz wins IA and looks like a viable candidate after next week, the next round of articles from the jackals at NR will be written to oppose Cruz.
I agree with this decision also. Absolutely no choice.
Rinse and Repeat has finally done something with which I agree.
Who was going to be a moderator? Rich Lowry?
So, the RNC has weighed Trump in the balances and found him hunky dory?
Time was ANY mention of RNC elicited nothing but hoots of derision around here.
So, don’t some of y’all need to pull RNC out from under that bus where it most deservedly once resided?
The money quote:
“His rise is a rebuke to the stories that political commentators have long told themselves, and to the mores they have long shared even while otherwise disagreeing ideologically with one another.”
In other words, the Pundit Class including Ed Morrissey, are soiling their raiments because they never had the foresight to consider that someone like Trump would come along and upset the applecart they had so carefully put in place, whereby THEY were the arbiters of thought and speech, the ones who framed the discussion and prioritized the issues.
If not for Donald Trump, we would be arguing over the nuances of this version of amnesty over another, and countless words would have been typed in favor of one ten-thousand-word policy statement vs. another. And Jeb Bush would probably be wrestling Rand Paul for the lead in national polls.
Trump has brought the light of day into national politics and hopefully will soon be fumigating the Oval Office as he prepares to make America great again.
National Review... opposes liberals... so Trump has a vast liberal history... National Review attacks Trump... National Review is obviously biased.
If Ted Cruz started advocating for liberal values, National Review would go after him as well.
You need to read my post because I’m no Cruz person. I don’t think National Review really should have done this. But it points out the fact that the Republican establishment is for Trump. If the issue had been against Cruz or Carson, we wouldn’t be seeing the same response.
Yep. That deal has apparently been made, too.
We are arguing over one version of Amnesty or another. And we’re letting a person who benefits financially from illegal immigration lead the discussion.
Actually it is just the opposite, the RNC and Reince are Trumps boys now that he is very likely to be the next president. It is all about power and they do not want to be cast into the outer darkness once Trump is President.
PING!!!
I don’t trust the GOPe but at least they are trying to see the light....
Trump hasn’t been part of the eGOP “scene” in DC and those that have spent their entire lives climbing the social ladder in the eGOP are scared they won’t retain their positions if Trump wins. Period. THAT is why they oppose Trump.
“media outlets that want to engage as debate hosts have to remain uncommitted in the race. “
LOL!!! Has anyone watched Special Report on Fox News lately...every evening they slam Cruz in multiple lines of attack! Last night they brought up Huckabee’s tithing charge...
PS They don’t want Trump either!

Is that some cross-pollinated muppet?
