Bingo. Also, even if people “know him”... why take a chance? Why didn’t the guy just check his gun and enjoy the rally? Why did he make an issue out of it?

Exactly. He has to check his gun when he goes to court. What’s the difference? And for those who blame this on Mr Trump, understand that the protectee has no authority over SS beyond choosing to reject the protection.

Perhaps the cop was aware that some have declared open season on killing cops. Maybe he needed the gun for his own safety.

Candidates and politicians aren’t the only ones who may need armed protection.
