The government tells us that the welfare state is for our own good. Likewise, cowardice in foreign policy; disarming our military; killing 60+ million innocent babies and counting by surgical means alone since 1973 "under color of law," that man-made global warming, errr. climate change or whatever exists and MUST be stopped (preferably by shutting down all productive manufacturing and returning our way of life to the Stone Age), making endless promises to spend our grandchildren's money that we and they do not have on things we and they do not want and that we and they definitely do not need, are all things that our government and BOTH political party leaderships assure us is for our own good, like Castor Oil except that the government schemes do not work.
Relying on the gummint's fantasies and lies? What could possibly go wrong?
