Oh, wow! Sundance doesn’t have an ivy league degree, etc., blah blah blah.

That is, Levin agrees with obama that it’s such a shame that the media and the public narrative are no longer controlled by a tiny number of elitist media outlets, that it’s so unfortunate that ANY good thinker who writes well now has an equal chance to go up against the Brian Williams and Mark Levins of the world.

yes, indeed, folks, Trump’s success is now smoking out the heretofore hidden elitism in guys like Mark Levin.

yet ANOTHER laudable result of “The Trump Effect”!

Trump! Trump! He's their man! If he can't do SOMETHING about SOMETHING OR OTHER, no one can, or something!

Good on borders. Good on guns. A pig in the poke on everything else. Yeah, he's the champeen! Besides, reflection on the nuances of issues or even simple manners are irrelevant to his fans and make their heads hurt. Who wants all that complexity? Whaddya want? ACTION! When do ya want it? NOW!!!!!!! What kind of action? WE DON'T CARE! STOP CONFUSING US! TRUMP WILL BUILD THE WALL ALMIGHTY and all will be well for ever after.

As far as teaching those uppity Ivy Leaguers a lesson, you ARE aware that The Donald's alma mater is The Wharton School of Finance at the, ummmm, quite Ivy League University of Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate, Mark Levin attended Temple University in Philadelphia, graduating summa cum laude at the age of 19, and went on to graduate Temple University Law School. Temple is NOT an Ivy League school. Rush matriculated (studied and was enrolled at) at Southwest Missouri State College for two semesters and one summer, flunking almost everything, according to family sources, and then got on with the business of saving the USA from its foreign and domestic enemies. Southwest Missouri State College is, ummmm, not an Ivy League school unless the Ivy League has massively expanded and it has not.

Basic principle: a grammar school dropout hustling garbage cans in Chicago WHO IS RIGHT is MORE RIGHT than an Ivy Leafgue professor of Poetry or Gender Studies or Global Warming Fantasies WHO IS WRONG.

Credentialism is not part of our movement in the sense that you have to have grown up in the right neighborhood, been educated at the right schools and married the right spouse. Bill Buckley's Yale degree was more significant because of his manifest differences with prevailing prejudices at Yale than if he had conformed (see God and Man at Yale). That Ronaldus Maximus came from a comparatively humble background was also a source of conservative pride. Neither ever made a point of saying that we had to pay heed to him because he was rich. In relative terms, Buckley was and Reagan was not but Buckley would certainly have deferred to Ronaldus Maximus as more successful politically. Buckley also famously observed on many occasions that he would much rather be governed by 100 people chosen absolutely at random from the Boston telephone directory than by 100 Harvard professors.

If Mark Levin is an elitist, he is genuinely an elitist of the mind and that is nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone does not have to be such an elitist but it is nice for a political movement to have some folks who are and have them in leading roles and NOT because they were born to zillionaire families or have the fattest stock or real estate portfolios. I disagree very strongly with Levin on restoring election by state legislatures of US Senators, for example, and, I am sure on other issues as well, but he is always thought provoking and knows well how to use his talents and his radio and publishing pulpit.

Levin was also quite active in Young Americans for Freedom in its death struggle with the New Left. Trump, ummmm, was not! We also need in leadership those blooded in such domestic wars. I would bet good money that Hannity got his playbook on Bill Ayres, Bernardine Doehrn and Obozo's other communist political playmates from his lawyer, Mark Levin. Trump probably could not identify the roots of Obozo's radicalism if his real estate empire depended on it. Levin can and does.

Oh, and Sundance, the anonymous blogger, whoever he/she may be (Robert Redford perhaps?), regardless of his/her unknown credentials or lack thereof, is either right or wrong on the merits. In this matter, that would be a wrong whether he has a string of Ivy League PhDs or dropped out of grammar school.
