“Yes, that is a proper inference when Cruz refuses to say no in response to a direct question on that very subject.”
Cruz responded, according to your own posted quote, only that he refused to respond. He didn’t say yes or no about taking it off of the table so you are WRONG again. You can make a baseless assumption, but that just make you look like an a55.
“supported legalization even after the gang of eight fight was over,”
That is another LIE. I know you’re a little slow, but legalization is NOT the same thing as H1B Visas.
“The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.””
Cruz is right, his amendment didn’t call for deportation or a path to citizenship because if it had then the amendment would NOT pass and would NOT be attached to the original bill thus killing the bill. The original bill WOULD have passed if Cruz attempted to attach an extreme conservative amendment to it. Again, you are misreading way too much in these statements, but leaving out the full context in order to twist things to your own agenda.
I love how every conservative stated that Cruz knowingly poisoned and stopped the Gang of 8 bill, but you claim to know more than everybody else. I think your tin foil hat is too tight!
You are REALLY stretching here. Your TDS is glaring!
That's exactly the point: He refused to take legalization off the table, leaving all options available. That is not something you do if you've been adamantly opposed to it since 2013.
That is another LIE.
That quote is from Cruz after the fight was over, so, no, it's not a lie.
The original bill WOULD have passed if Cruz attempted to attach an extreme conservative amendment to it
LOL, this isn't a fake mocking LOL, it's a real LOL. I laughed out loud. So Cruz's amendment was a poison pill... but if Cruz had gone REALLY extremist, it would have poisoned the bill? LOL. Whatever the case, this is written after the gang of eight fight was over. There's no reason why Cruz should still be supporting legalization, unless he was serious about it all along.
I love how every conservative stated that Cruz knowingly poisoned and stopped the Gang of 8 bill
Only Sessions and Lee are stating that, and neither of them were opposing legalization at that time either, so it's apples and oranges:
