Cruz campaigned as a heroic self-liquidator who put all of his life saving into his campaign.

I wonder if that was why Palin chose Trump? Did she feel like Cruz had tricked her into a false campaign?

Secondly, why should we view the Goldman Sachs scandal personally? It’s a matter of perception.

Cruz has spinned it terribly from the beginning with half-truths and straw man arguments.

“...Honestly, since he did file with the Senate I say no harm , no foul...”

Since it was a loan against his *own* assets; Since he paid it back as agreed; Since he *did* file with the Senate immediately; Since he did amend the FEC filing as *every* single candidate has done in every single modern election; I say “where is the intent to deceive, defraud and/or conceal”?

I’ll tell you where that “intent” is from what I read: it’s only in the minds of Trump supporters and Cruz haters who suddenly hold a different standard for Trump who did the same, except they were *not* his own assets and don’t even bother talking about whether he paid the loans off as agreed. I personally don’t see a single thing wrong with either, but apparently, some folks are very good at parroting talking points and a bit less good at logic and reason. So I’ll put it up to a vote: Should the rules and standards be different for the wealthy-elite?

This morning on Facebook I saw a game site posted where you get to kill Donald Trump in a bloody mess. I think this has gone on a little too long and has gone a little too far.

It shows what happens when someone breaks through the PC barrier: people become frightened, crazy, and homicidal. And accuse the other side of everything they are doing.

This may have cleared the way for Rand Paul, although I don’t think his domestic policies mesh with Trump’s.

The Senate filing did not link the loans to the campaign.

Crucial fact.

Sorry, Cruz has been a nothing burger in the Senate. Yep, he "fought" the GOPe so hard he agreed and voted for the Corker Bill, the TPP bill, and otherwise accomplished nothing. I like Cruz, but the key word with him is "ineffective."

As one person said, "Cruz couldn't lead a starving man to an all-you-can-eat buffet."

Far as I can tell, Liz, you are nailing it.

This is a desperate counter-attack against Trump that only fanst the fire of criticism against Cruz.

‘...hopefully Sara will spill the beans in the near future.’

I hope they can win without her destroying Cruz to be perfectly candid. Palin probably has the power to if she said, ‘He tricked me into repeating lies again and again while I stumped for him. Grass roots campaign, gimme a break!’

That would finish him, and I hope it doesn’t come to that.

RginTN comments that Trump is owned by Citbank and GS for taking out loans, and then says he’s WORSE THAN HILLARY AND HER CLASSIFIED EMAIL SCANDALS? Yes I’m yelling and you reply with “their hypocrisy is blinding.”

Who is this “their?” Are you two sharing the same room on a psych ward somewhere? Her comment is devoid of all logic and common sense but your response doesn’t even remotely make sense either!

To even suggest that Trump or Cruz is even close to being in the same ballpark in the same universe of evil that that witch resides in shows that the coo-coo birds are really out in full force now.

When have these supposed “pure” conservatives aimed their fire in like concentration on the ones who have really done all of this?
Donald J. Trump had nothing to do with any of this.
Trump did not steal your money.
Trump did not raise your taxes.
Trump did not quadruple the price of food.
Trump is not stirring a race war.
Trump did not leave any US soldiers in Benghazi to be slaughtered and desecrated by Muslims.
Trump did not send the US Navy to fight for Syrian Al-Qaeda.
Trump did not arm ISIS and systematically exterminate Christians throughout the Middle East.
Trump did not betray Israel.
Trump did not provide financing and technology to Irans nuclear weapons program.
Trump did not give our military secrets to China.
Trump did not remove our nuclear missile shield in Poland at the behest of Russia.
Trump did not shrivel our military, and betray our veterans.
Trump did not cripple our economy.
Trump did not increase our debt to 20 trillion dollars.
Trump did not ruin our credit, twice.
Trump did not double African American unemployment.
Trump did not increase welfare to a record level for eight years.
Trump did not sign a law making it legal to execute, and imprison Americans.
Trump did not set free all of terrorists in Guantanamo bay

“...The Senate filing did not link the loans to the campaign...”

The Senate filling was not intended, nor is it used to link campaign financing, but is for personal loans/financials which was the status of the loan when it was taken. It was not “loaned” to the campaign direct from their personal asset account - the campaign loan occurred after which seems appropriate to me following basic accounting principles. Either way, why leave such a brazen accounting paper trail if your intent was to conceal?

Cucial-er fact.

So I will predict those who see Cruz as a threat to Trump will consider an amended FEC filing as treason of the highest order, and disregard that there is no candidate in modern history that has not also had to amend FEC filings.

And, those who support Cruz (like me) see no big deal as there is an obvious lack of any intent to conceal it.

I’ll even go a step further and be intellectually honest and also say I have no problem with Trump taking loans from the same (gasp) “corrupting” banks, whether he paid them back or his bankruptcy(s) etc.

Good luck with your candidate!

Goldman Sachs was the primary beneficiary of the Bank Bailout.

One of Goldman Sachs’ owners is Donald Trump.

So the Bank Bailout was a Trump Bailout. No wonder he was for it.

And he complains because Cruz’ wife was an employee of Goldman Sachs. Chutzpah.

Of course the Senate filing was not linked to the campaign. Every idiot knows that. In fact it’s the point. The link to the campaign is what he seems to have wanted hidden. Cruz attempted to cover himself for any future brouhaha over his failing to file a complete FEC report by filing the information in the Senate report.

He was counting on people just like you.

He was counting on people to keep jumping facts like someone jumping from log to log in a river.

The Senate filing does not prove the FEC filing was an error. And the Senate filing does not make the possibly fraudulent FEC report OK.

The LINK TO THE CAMPAIGN is what he hoped to conceal—temporarily, until the election was over. Although now he is claiming it was an oversight.

I’m glad you’re not a detective in my precinct.
