According to the Conservative Tribune, the Texas farmer chose to turn to his faithful pigs for a response.
"Friday, at about 5:00 pm, was normally time reserved for the holiest of Muslim pray sessions of the week. However, it was this past Friday, that the typical quiet prayer session was interrupted by a pig race. Baker unleashed his pigs to run around homemade tracks he had constructed on his property."
"Before we go any further, is it pretty much a sin for Muslims to eat pork, or have anything to do with Mr. Baker's swine."
"During the pig race, he chose a most American activity to happen alongside the race, a barbecue. The menu consisted of things such as sausage and bacon, with all the smoky goodness blowing off into the night."
Of course, Fotough made noise at a town hall meeting. Unfortunately, we might never know what possessed Kamel Fotouh to buy land next to a pig farm.

In early December, last month, while visiting another retired friend of mine in Houston, we drove out to this mosque on South Barker Road in Katy. It's about 2 miles down from the Katy frwy. feeder and into the boons. Sure enough it is there. This mosque is huge. It is two stories and the building, bright yellow and white in color, looks to be about 20,000 sq. feet.
We pulled up into the entrance and there was a security guy at the entrance -an older looking towel head and I stopped and said this: "Hi, what is this place?" and he replied with the arabic name of the mosque. I then asked him: "Do you know where the pig farm is that is supposed to be nearby." He didn't speak good English and didn't seem to understand what I'd asked him. So, I gave up on any further coherent conversation with him. He did point and jestured for us to drive around the parking to see how - - " 'nice' it is."
I said that no thanks and made the large circular fancy driveway entrance back to the street and headed back to the Katy frwy. We didn't see the pig farm and didn't want to spend more time riding down Barker looking for it (even though is supposed to be 'next door' / maybe Mr Baker sold his pig farm afterall.) Or, the case might be that since there is heavy dense foilage all up and down Barker road that the pig farm can't be seen from the road very easily. There are many narrow dirt entrances along the road before and after the entrance to the mosque.
My friend in Houston said he'll try to find out if the pig farm is still there and when he does, I'm going to make another casual trip to Houston and we'll drive out to Barker Rd. again. I want to see this pig farm and see for myself all the pigs bantering about and squealing feverishly...and how all this sounds near the towel head mosque, and my friend and I can enjoy a thick ham sandwich along the way.

Well, go by Marini’s Empanadas on Mason Road in Cinco Ranch while you’re there. I guarantee you won’t regret it. I’m trying to come up with an excuse to get to Houston right now, just so we can go eat there. I don’t think it’s going to be soon, so eat enough for me.

Gee, it would be a shame if all those pigs got lose somehow through a little hole in the fence, and ran amok in the mosque.
