Stacey Dash Cheered by Trump for Black History Month Rant

Donald Trump cheered on Stacey Dash who went on an Oscar-black-boycott rant on Fox News, saying "if we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET" and there shouldn't be Black History Month.

The network's cultural analysis contributor made her comments Monday on the morning show "Fox & Friends" while weighing on African-Americans like Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith who say they will boycott the Academy Awards for its lack of diversity in major acting categories. Dash called their protests "ludicrous," said People magazine.

"Either we want to have segregation or integration," said Dash. "And if we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the (NAACP) Image Awards, where you're only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It's a double standard."

"I don't think (there should be a BET). Just like there shouldn't be a Black History Month. You know? We're Americans. Period. That's it."

Republican presidential frontrunner Trump chimed in later on "Fox & Friends," noted Deadline.com.

"I saw somebody on your show today saying, 'Well, what do we do with BET?' The whites don't get any nominations. I thought it was an amazing interview, actually. I'd never even thought about it from that standpoint," said Trump, noted Deadline.com.

No American should advocate getting rid of BET. It is a private company catering to a specific audience. No different from Rural TV, the Golf Channel, the Classic Movie Channel, etc. Neither should there be any hissy fits if someone want to go out and create a White Entertainment Television (WET).

A government sponsored Black History Month in government funded schools is, however, quite a different matter. I think Morgan Freeman said it best: 'Black History in America is American History.'

Just out of curiosity, has any Black History advocate ever hear of Salem Poor? Hint: He was the right color, but held the wrong political views.

And the guy who wants people from all sides to vote for him sticks his thumb in the eye of Blacks! I'm not saying that I don't agree with Dash, I do, but Trump seems to be going out of his way to be seen as the Angry White Guy candidate. Is he doing this on purpose, or can't he stop himself?
