What acrobatics do the Conservative Trump supporters perform to justify this?
I’ll take a 10% flat tax over monkeying with the current tax codes, too.
Trump supporters are voting based on emotion, not facts.
I thought liberals did that.
We need to “justify” why CBS even EXISTS first.
LOL
BTW thanks for posting an article about actual policies. I think most of us are sick of the tabloid crap.
But after the IRS was allowed to target conservative political groups and the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS did nothing. After the Republican Congress (which controls the purse strings) allows the debt to double, after we allow Obama to run guns to illegals...and on and on How does a REPUBLICAN justify that?
I notice that "encroaching on the Bill of Rights" is not in quotes. Is that CBS editorializing?
Let me count the ways:
They love love love how donnie degrades all who do not kiss his butt.
Issues don’t matter, he said he would build a wall and deport with roundups like Ike. Never mind the next day he said he will fast track them back in.
Donnie is the last hope of saving our country - never mind things like issues.
He said he could work with DC and cut deals — huge gut laugh there if they looked at his recent donations to liberals which oh by the way mean nothing - he was trying to buy favor -— like he wouldn’t be on the receiving end if elected? another gut laugh.
The liberal posters on her are slightly insane.
Trump for President
Deal breaker: You fund half your Senate campaign with Goldman Sachs money, but make sure that’s not known till you win.
Cruz hashed. A Senator for a couple years. How many bills has he introduced that have become law? O, 1, 3, 5+?
Trump wants to reinstate the surveillance and said security trumps privacy.
“I have always come down on the side of security. To me, it’s the most important,” Trump told CBS News — even if it means encroaching on the Bill of Rights.
“I hate it. I hate the concept of it, but we’re dealing with some very, very bad dudes,” he said.
Can we talk about other people in history who have had the very same attitudes?
Abraham Lincoln, had to infringe on the Bill of Rights to win the US Civil War. Reagan had to cut all sorts of deals with Democrats in order to advance his agenda.
Real world problems, as opposed to the fantasy bubble world purists live in, are not black and white.
We all ready have a ideologically rigid arrogantly inflexible President in 0. I have no desire to replace him with a different one just with the same mindset just because he happens to mouth the correct slogans and talking points on the campaign trail
Cruz: life- long pro-life advocate. Worked to defund Planned Parenthood.
Trump: converted on abortion issues over time. Said PP provided great services to women.
Cruz: fought Gang of 8 using every legislative trick in the book. Fought DREAM amnesty too. Advocated for a wall in 2012. Advocated for increased H1B visas in 2013 but now wants them reduced.
Trump: said self deportation was a maniacal idea in 2012. Has hired foreign workers, including H1B workers over the years. Advocated for a wall in 2015. Wants tariffs on Mexico to pay for wall.
Cruz: pro-trade and pro-previous versions of TPA. Against current TPA version due to immigration language. Against TPP.
Trump: wants higher tariffs. Promised to make great deals to enact favorable trade policies. Unclear how he plans to do this without TPA.

Trump: conflicting statements on when/whether to pull US from deal

Trump: ? (I honestly couldn’t find a link to his judicial preferences beyond that off-handed comment about his sister)
Cruz: marriage is a state issue
Trump: gay marriage is “the law of the land”
I left off my list:

Trump: supports increasing ethanol mandate and supports government intervention in markets
Cruz: anti-TARP
Trump: pro TARP
