Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is going after Glenn Beck for throwing his support behind GOP primary rival Ted Cruz, calling the conservative activist a "wacko" and a "lost soul."
Trump also said his endorsement from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin trumps Cruz's endorsement from Beck.
"Wacko [Glenn Beck] is a sad answer to the [Sarah Palin] endorsement that Cruz so desperately wanted," Trump said in a tweet on Thursday. "Glenn is a failing, crying, lost soul!"
Beck announced on Tuesday that he would campaign with Cruz on Saturday in Iowa.
A longtime opponent of Trump, the Tea Party icon said he was disappointed in Palin's decision to endorse the billionaire businessman.
"I couldn't disagree with her more but she has played the game now for years," Beck wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday. "Perhaps she knows more than those of us still on the outside."

Ol’ Bob was probably telegraphing some sort of GOP strategy. If so its another example of the political tin ear establishment types are famous for.
Agree Beck’s approval wouldn’t make me more likely to support him.
Trump called Beck a whacko? That’s about the most polite thing he could say about him. Is Trump getting soft? LOL.
He's not.
Cruz: Class
Trump: Crass
Could you elaborate that claim? You sound like these progressive supporters (Alinsky tactics) that throw out claims but missing the proof. Is it because of the Nazarene project and getting Christians out of the Middle East? Is it because of his call of the Caliphate? Is it because he reported on “fast and furious”, Benghazi and reports at our border? Please expound on your claims as I would like to know...
Anyone know when Beck and Ted plan to go back to the border with teddy bears and bottled water? I’m sure the illegal border crashers appreciate the Welcome Wagon.

Why, when Trump doesn't get exactly what he wants, does his subsequent social media contribution usually read like a juvenile temper tantrum?
Forgive the bluntness, but--while I understand why people are excited about some things he says and does--why people TRUST this man is beyond me. Maybe the glitz of watching a pugilist attack their favorite enemies is be too much for the logic/reason of some people, who are reduced to whooping and cheering for "their guy, Trump", regardless of the probability that Trump will apparently do whatever benefits Trump... and that what benefits Trump may well be aligned with our beliefs only by accident and opportunity.
It's a bit like being happy that the alligator just ate your hated enemy... unaware of the fact that the alligator may have no scruples about eating you next, should the mood strike him.
I think we're seeing an over-reaction against the namby-pamby GOP-e (McConnell, Boehner, Ryan, Jeb, etc.) who've championed mildness at the expense of moral and practical principles (e.g. "Who cares if babies are killed with taxpayer subsidies, sexual perversion is enshrined with taxpayer assistance as a "sacred right", terrorists are given easy and subsidized access to the country, and the economy implodes; the important thing is that we speak in measured tones and don't offend!"). They've taken something more-or-less true in and of itself (i.e. malice against others is wrong) and set it up as a false "god", even to the point of giving it blood-offerings... so I know why sensible people are enraged against them.
But does this mean that we throw our support behind any wolf who offers to tear apart those fools? I don't think that's wise, personally.
lol This should be entertaining. In an embarrassing, trainwreck kinda way.
Wonder if Beck will cry.
Maybe they could get Boehner, too. They could be ‘The Crying B’s’ & could flank Cruz when he speaks- bawling away. That would REALLY crank up the drama. Especially if he gets them drunk first.
Beck endorsement = -5 points
Can not stand Trump Can not stand Beck.
It is just such an anti-climatic thing...it’s like having
Tom Brady visit one little league football team and Sam Bradford visiting another.
The team who is told Sam Bradford is coming to visit, they are gonna say, Sam who?
Dole’s endorsements are triangulating in GOPe order of preference. Nothing more. Nothing less.
His only critizism of Cruz is that his election would hurt the GOP. That means he blelieves Trump to not only not be the Establishment destroyer he claims to be, but a closer ally than Cruz.
Cruz is ‘using’ Beck to go after the Mormon vote, Rubio was or might still be a Mormon, he was while living in Nevada...
If it wasn’t for that, Cruz wouldn’t have anything to do with Beck, he even knows he’s a ‘nut job’ but not having the best interests in America, Cruz goes for a ‘cult’ vote...
I was an avid watcher of Glen Beck, I mean at 2:00 pm NOTHING could tear me from the show!!! I can’t believe what has happened to him either!!! The Teddy bears on the boarder was just the absolute breaking point for me!!!!
Trump’s words to describe Beck as a “lost soul” are sadly true. Beck has divided his heart between Jesus and Mormanism— one cannot serve two masters, it will unhinge you in the end.
beck - 5 Bob Dole -20
(Bob Dole the Fritz Mondale of the GOPe)
He was like that when he started out in radio. Nasty piece of work. Seems like his vindictiveness is re-emerging
Trumps not president yet. Right now he’s in a war to save our country and there aren’t many rules of etiquette in war.
That Trump. What a card.
