Fine. Do you consider yourself to have an open mind? It is closed when it comes to Ted Cruz?
Sure. and see #108
Great stuff.
“I will go my grave knowing that I did not support an enabler of baby-killing politicians like Trump.”
So Cruz wins the nomination. You’ll go to your grave knowing you supported the baby-killing president Clinton or Sanders. Well, good for you!
If the POTUS and our forces keep close order behind the Captain of the Hosts of the Lord we can be sure of victory. The greatest thing Cruz could do for defense is exterminate the reprobates that have infested the military putting us all in peril.
Joshua 5
13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant?
*YAWN* More birther crap? C'mon.
Actually I did edit it down to half its original length - today ... Unfortunately there is no “edit” feature on FR. I was in too much of a hurry to post - did not follow my usual rule of waiting a day before posting this kind of “rant” ... My opinion of the issue has not changed - just acknowledging that I could and should have presented better.
Let me guess - you support Cruz.
First, I do not object to Senator Cruz, but I have serious doubts of his ability to win the general election. His demographic appeal is rather thin. I just do not believe that their are sufficient numbers of conservatives - to what ever degree they may be called such - to win Cruz the presidency.
I suppose we will see how this all shakes out after several primaries.
Secondly, should Senator Cruz win the GOP nomination (and that is very uncertain at this point) then I certainly will support him 100 percent.
Ah, yes - that most cherished “piece of paper” - Our Constitution ... the one that is no longer relevant, as far as all three branches of our federal government have proven.
The “piece of paper” that has lost all meaning, b/c the majorities we “conservatives” elected to both houses of Congress have totally abandoned even the pretense of defending and upholding the “legal principles” it embodies - as their sworn oath of office requires they do.
Funny too, that all those “conservatives” we elected have not the balls to impeach Barrack Hussein Obama for his numerous outright in-your-face violations of that “piece of paper” - even though they have majorities in both houses, AND have both a “Moral” and “Constitutional” responsibility to do so - not b/c there is any guarantee of success, but b/c it IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! Somehow, I guess modern “conservatives” just can no longer discern that doing what is right TRUMPS doing what is politically expedient. But then that requires a man to have a nut sack, a spine, and a set of moral convictions that go beyond the party line.
Funny too, how the same cadre of so-called “conservatives” we sent to Congress in 2012 and again in 2014, could not see fit to impeach either Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Justice Elena Kagan, for their insolent refusal to recuse themselves from the Obergefell v Hodges case, which was a clear violation of both judicial ethics and federal law:
Canon 3A (6) of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges provides that “A judge should not make public comment on the merits of a matter pending or impending in any court.” 28 U.S.C. sec 455(a) mandates that a Justice “shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.”
Both Ginsburg and Kagan performed sodomite marriage ceremonies. Ginsburg also made public statements indicating her favor of sodomite marriage.
But both federal statute and the Constitution held not one damned iota of persuasion in the “moral,” “ethical” or “legal principle” categories, for any of the cowardly “conservative” ass-wipes we sent to Congress in 2012 and 2014.
Frankly, I am rather tired of listening to all the empty promises of those so-called “conservatives” we elected to Congress - elections wholly based upon all their “wonderful words” spoken in reverence to that “piece of paper” ...
And I am equally tired of reading the same whining BS from those individuals here on FR, who are arrogant enough to preach the same crap to me ...
Recall Lucy Van Pelt holding that infamous football for poor old Charlie Brown to kick ... How many times are you going to make the same play before you figure out that the joke is on you?
I’ve been there, done that, and bought the freaking tee shirt - several times over ... I’m done with your pretenders - your “conservatives,” who talk the talk but vote like a libturd EVERY SINGLE TIME ...I refuse to continue my attempt at kicking that damn football! But, hell, if you want to run your ass - and your mouth - full speed once more, just b/c your determined to validate your “conservative credentials” well then, sport, be my guest. Have fun flopping on your back - again.
The way I see it, we’ve taken it up the corn hole so many times from these so-called “conservatives” whom you and others on FR have multiple orgasms over, that I have come to the conclusion that Mr, Trump cannot be any worse than that crop of frauds in Congress, who played all of you self-proclaimed “conservative” experts like a cheap fiddle.
But you tell me to say REPEATEDLY “Thank you sir, may I please have another?” as the “conservative” cowards in the U.S. Congress continue to help Obama shove a cattle prod up the ass of this representative constitutional republic ...
Well, here’s my answer to you; I am going to yank that cattle prod out of the hands of those so-called “conservative” representatives and senators, place the thing in the willing hands of Donald Trump, tell him to put nails in it, and then tell him to repeatedly ram it up the GOP’s collective butt hole until they all hemorrhage to death!
That’s my answer, sparky ... Like it or lump it - I really do not give a continental crap what you do.
Thank you for that link. The entire article was just chilling. Damn them all, liars and, I don’t even have words for it.
Given what you have written, you must also similarly judge the Declaration - which claimed that all men are created equal, when the truth before God is that all men are NOT so created.
Likewise, you must so judge the Constitution, which puts forth the lie that all just government drives its power from the consent of the governed - an utter blasphemous statement contrary to the words of Christ to Pilot:
Jesus answered: Thou shouldst not have any power against me, unless it were given thee from above. Therefore, he that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin. - John 19:11
The state, whether it be governed by a monarch or republican form, is still a creature of God, made by Him so to uphold the moral law, defend the mystical body of Christ, and punish the wicked ... Since God created the state, the state has a duty to obey God’s laws - thus the pretense that demands the separation of church and state is a non-starter.
Likewise the idea of Freedom of Speech and of the Press ... One does not possess an absolute right to say or write whatever they desire.
Similarly, freedom of religion ... Two opposing things cannot both be true, and while one may possess the free will to do wrong or commit himself to take part in false religions or the worship of strange gods, yet one does not possess a right to do so - for one cannot have a right to do what is wrong in the sight of God.
So, if you really want to get down into the weed, we could have quite the discussion on these topics, the protests of others notwithstanding.
One question; Are you married? Do you not compromise with your wife? Or are you rather a self-righteous tyrant.
Just what do you think occurs in any business negotiation?
Your position is invalid on its face.
All of life is compromise - we do so with every choice we make.
Thank you. But, of course, I have my detractors ... And they seem to believe that I am not conservative b/c I warn against the fallacy of desiring that all things be 100 percent in your favor. There is so much irony and contradictions in the various contrary responses that I am astounded by the sheer obstinate arrogance that some people wear like a badge of honor. I cannot imagine how they may govern a family or maintain a marriage in good faith when they are rigid to the point of being a lifeless corpse.
Sorry, America IS a hell hole currently and heading further down the sewer. That is a fact and I sincerely hope you realize that.
I said no such thing. I am saying that rigid adherence to dogma can get you into a lot more trouble than making some room for compromise that is beneficial to both parties.
Are you married? If so, do you insist on your way all the time? “My way or the highway” is no way to go through life.
But perhaps, in your case, misery does love company?
That stated, please understand that I am not advocating that one ever abandon or compromise on moral principle; but uncompromising adherence to an ideological manifesto can be a two-edge sword, in ways that are not always immediately obvious.
So, you are advocating that we close our borders and allow absolutely no one into our country? You’re OK with that?
You have dogma. I have principles.
And BS artist fill up toilets. You need to get of your stool and flush - it’s getting deep.
Even the Framers weren't in 100% accord during that summer in Philadelphia. It took a lot of deliberation and debate to hash out a framework for a new government that would be acceptable to all.
Freepers should take a lesson from them. Yes, our shared basic principles matter most, but there's a sliding scale of importances, based upon the urgency of the day.
You need to move with utmost urgency, and employ warlike means and attitudes, when your people's very survival is at stake. When the barbarians are inside the gate, you may have to elect some bad asses to deal with it, that you might not hire under less dire circumstances.
That is where we are today.
