Helping someone who tugs at your heartstrings is all well and good. But there is a story out there about him vengefully cutting off medical coverage for a family member’s baby. Now I know there is always more to the story, and I have wondered if the child got the care it needed. What really bothered me was the fact that he seems to admit it and that he did that to a child because he was mad at the parents. If true it really does tell us what he is all about.
The reason is simple. Who do we have higher expectations for? Our family and friends, that's who. When a stranger does something stupid you will probably comment and then move along. If it is someone close you you take it personal, usually as betrayal, almost treason.
Can you imagine the number of gold-diggers you have to deal with as a matter of course if you were in his shoes? Now imagine if the gold-diggers are in your family, or at least gold-digging lawyers backing members of your family against you. No-one except for a pathological masochistic pacifist dummy takes these things lying down.
I hope you don't actually believe some of the nonsense that his grand-nephew was left hanging without medical care! That whole thing *was* settled at some point.
