How many times before have we been betrayed?

Seems like just about every time.

Yeah, I want to hold out hope that there are still honest people. I really do.

I sympathize. My advice: go watch the youtube rallys of the candidates you like. Watch the whole thing. Spend some time knowing the people. Then trust your instinct.
