Dear Christians, If You Vote For A Godless Man, You Are Asking For Tyranny
The Blaze ^ | 1/19/2016 | Matt Walsh

Posted on 01/20/2016 4:41:42 AM PST by plewis1250

It’s very simple. If a man has no moral center, if he has ambition but no faith, if he does not demonstrate humility or integrity, I will never vote for him for president. I don’t care who he is, what he’s done, what he says, or what positions he holds. None of that will matter when we are living under his tyranny, and tyranny is sure to follow when you give unspeakable power to a man who believes he is God.

I’ll put this another way: if you vote for a man who worships himself over God, you deserve the tyranny that happens next.

You deserve it because you chose it, just as the souls in Hell deserve Hell because they chose it. If you go to the ballot box and say, “I am going to do my part to put this self-absorbed pagan in charge of my nation” you are directly consenting to the inevitable result. You are embracing it. You are literally asking for it.

I know this will not resonate with atheists, but for us God-fearing folk it is extraordinarily obvious and irrefutable that we ought to only vote for other God-fearing folk. John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” I think it goes without saying that if the governed ought to be moral and religious, certainly the governors ought to be the same, and arguably more so.

According to the link- Matt Walsh is a blogger, writer, speaker, and professional truth sayer.

If the 'professional truth sayer' WAS being truthful, he'd just come out and say -

If you vote for Trump, you're going to Hell.

...since that's exactly what he means.

At this point the two are mutually exclusive. Either you want the constitutional conservative, or the fabulous, self-serving fascist.

Better to have a Trump or a Cruz in the White House than a Clinton or a Sanders, because the latter two will do greater harm to Christians in a special way in the USA and to Americans in general, remember that.

Put it this way: you might getgodless candidates no matter what.

Our system is flawed in that we are only ultimately given 2 choices for pres. Only. Thus, a choice must be made.

If we had a system where we could choose amongst many, or literally write them in as we wish, we at least get a real choice. As was more or less originally done. Then we don’t end up with “the lesser of 2 evils”.

We are all imperfect, excuses won’t enter into it.

Absolutely, but you can tell a lot by their fruit:

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.”
Matthew 7:15 - 20

....And Sanders could be viewed as the George McGovern of the 2016 election year.

There will likely be a choice, by God’s sovereignty, of two electable people. God has also given us, mercifully, the gift of choosing which would be the better of the two.

I don’t have to acquiesce to another person for that choice.

Whether or not I have the perfect candidate makes no difference. Not choosing is giving your God given privilege to someone else. That would be foolish, wouldn’t it?

Same thing in regards to Trump, God could use him.

Funny. God subjected Israel to the tyranny of the diaspora to purge them of their wickedness. So much so that his prophets warned AGAINST rebelling against those powers.

I also seem to remember the false prophets counseling those who would listen that God would give them victory over such chastisement as long as they didn’t submit to it.

“I will not vote for someone who is contrary to my beliefs, no. Whom has a proven/admitted track record of supporting the grotesque murder of innocent life. Whom shows no moral character and just yells the loudest in a room.”

So in your estimation, anything the man formerly known as Saul of Tarsus says is bunk, yes?

You’re right. He could use him.

But if given the choice between someone who has stood SO steadfast for SO long for our beliefs and Christian principles, and someone who frankly is doing it for their own benefit, why on earth chose to vote for the latter?

God could use Cruz as well...

History is replete with stories of the imperfect being chosen by God to do great things and with stories of “good, Godly men” that have gone way off the reservation and taken their followers with them. We are not electing a Pastor in Chief, however we should ask God for guidance, discernment, and wisdom.

Exactly.

Imagine you're on a sinking ship and God sends a helicopter to rescue you and you refuse to get aboard the chopper because the pilot doesn't share your beliefs.

That's what I keep hearing on this thread.

We're electing a leader, a commander in chief...not a chaplin.

I agree with what he says about Trump BUT what is our alternative? The GOPe has let the entire country down and has failed to produce even one decent leader to stand up to Trump. America deserves this, frankly, and I blame McConnell and the rest of the so-called “Republican” majority for failure!

The Apostle Paul had a spiritual conversion brought on by the Lord himself.

Donald Trump has supported these atrocities AFTER his salvation. What exactly was his point in his life that he changed direction? It was about 7 years ago he says... What happened then... I guess it could have been the coming election cycle...

Of course, he advocated these very same liberal positions (or at least he not problem with them) as recently as last year...

But then again, maybe he had a spiritual awakening since then...
