Trump think this is going to help him win with the GOP base? All he has to do is look at Paul Ryan’s and Mitch McConnell’s FaceBook pages when they post something. 99% of the replies verbally abuse them.
He thinks that Sarah Palin’s has given him cover to say whatever he wishes.
I think he is doing what all politicians do. I hope I’m wrong, because I’m a Trump supporter.
But I think he’s been appealing to the base to get out in front and now that he thinks he has the base, he’s trying to expand his reach to the moderates and liberals.
As I said, I really hope I’m wrong, because that would lead a lot of people to question whether the conservative appeal has been genuine.
