Many years ago, also in Mobile, a police officer was on his back with a guy just about beating his head in and managed to shoot the bad guy through his pants pocket with his back up gun; a hammerless revolver. I don’t have one of those but I’m not big into carrying a gun in my pocket. Tried with my LCP but too obvious and just not comfortable.
