Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state's caucuses.
Is that supposed to be a good thing? Sarah Palin seems to have gone off the deep end and has been fishing for a candidate to endorse. No one else wanted her.

I’ll be honest; I’m sitting here cackling at the sobbing and butthurt on this thread. I’d be posting pictures of crying children to all of them, but I’m saving that for after Iowa.
Now they are directing at Sarah everything that they’ve been directing at us, and inadvertently revealing their narrow-mindedness. ANYONE who dares to differ must be shamed, insulted, and beaten down.
Amazing how most of the ‘true conservatives’ are acting more and more like liberals, whereas most of the ‘liberal Trumpanzees’ are the ones who are for freedom of opinion.

Cruz is attempting to craft an image. Trump don’t need to do that. He is who he is. If ya can’t be real, ferrget it. But I did like the Spanish bit from his dad in the Cruz leaked video.

I doubt at least 2 of his wives would agree.
Polls and my gut feeling show that Trump is more likely to lose to Hillary than Cruz. So voting on electability would seem to suggest you vote for Cruz over Trump. Pure electability would suggest Rubio over both of them. But if you care about issues that has to factor in. Simply, Trump has flip-flopped on his core values in the past and, to me, that suggests he could do it again in the future.
Trump has also staked out absolutely no clear positions on the kind of people he would nominate to the Supreme Court or even for cabinet appointments. With Cruz, the kind of people he would choose is abundantly clear. Trump seems to change his mind on what people he likes based largely on whether they support him or not. If a liberal or even a Democrat kisses up to him then I think they would be appointed by him to any position.

Everyone has their price. She can’t take it with her, but who knows now where she’l be going.
There is nothing insidious in people backing a candidate they think can win, particularly after the last two disastrous campaigns. Having said that, those backing Trump shouldn’t be under any illusion that Trump is anything more than a self-serving tycoon whose primary purpose in seeking the Presidency is to boost his ego. Yes he’s more conservative than Obama, but so are 80% of the American people. Jim Geraghty at NRO did an interest summation of past Trump statements back in July: Conservative on some issues, very liberal on others. President Trump will not do anything to roll back Obamacare and may well be the President that brings in Canadian style universal health care.
