There's no excuse for Palin not to endorse Cruz if she believes half the things she's said over the years: That's pretty much the size of it. For the first time in the Obama era, the tea party's got a guy running who agrees with them on virtually everything, especially the propensity of Beltway Republicans to sell out. And he's brilliant! And he's preternaturally good at articulating their concerns! And he's running a superb campaign, better than anyone expected! Here's the grassroots right's chance to deliver Iowa to him and make a "true conservative" the GOP nominee for the first time since Reagan. And now Palin, after eight years of preaching "constitutional conservative" solutions to the mess in Washington, is going to turn around and endorse ... Donald Trump? Neutrality is bad enough. But this?Sad.

My self and many other conservatives will be disappointed also. But she is still a McCain supporter, so maybe she is not as conservative as we might think. Time will reveal the truth.

So who knows Trump and his conservative credentials better? Sarah Palin...who actually has met and talked to him a number of times...or ANYONE on freerepublic? I’ll go with Sarah.

Looks like a case of media celebrities sticking together if true. You’re right, it is inappropriate. Cruz deserves better than this...

she and Ted Cruz have been allies since he joined the Senate, Palin's endorsement of Cruz during his Senate race here in TX helped him win the race. He should be gracious, and not critical of Palin if she endorses Trump.

What time is the big endorsement supposed to happen?
Was it John Wayne’s daughter?
Or is there more?

One thing for certain, IF Palin endorses Trump, she will permanently lose many fans. I have been an enthusiastic supporter
when she has been on my side. When she's went against my side, endorsing Romney, and if she endorses Trump, then she will have placed herself in the opposition camp representing what I want to lose -- moderate left-leaning Republicans.
All Palin will do if she supports Trump, is indicate that I'm not as good a judge of character as I thought. But my right and sensible rejection of Trump will remain regardless of which way Palin moves.

I would be deeply disappointed as well. But unlike many Trump supporters, who call anyone who does not support Trump everything from RINOs to traitors, I would just note that I would disagree with her choice and be sorry that she made it, and that such a choice would cause me to be very cautious about any other endorsements she made.

Sarah,Donald and the media are “Playing” the public...yet again... Step right up to ring three!
Interesting that her departure from Alaska to Iowa 'announcement' coinciding with Trumps “secret guest” announcement, all purposely orchestrated with the media hype to create "the great anticipation" and hear the same old tune we've heard before.....”will she or won't she?”......to once more feed an eager audience with another tidbit to nibble on........
The chicks are eagerly awaiting their next feeding.....

I remember when Sarah Palin used to be a conservative.
First McCain. Now Trump.
We hardly knew ye, Sarah. Oh, well. Conservatism will win in spite of you.
