I think it hurts Cruz in the state he most needs to win: Iowa.
It also cuts into a large constituency of his, big enough to put Trump over the top.
I still prefer Cruz, but IMHO, this would be a master stroke, game over kind of thing for Trump.

I wouldn’t think it would hurt Cruz campaign very much. Most real conservatives have been able to recognize that Palin is at best a conservative second, with her primary goal to finagle the best spot for Palin.
