Ted Cruz camp: 'Blow to Sarah Palin' if she endorses Donald Trump
Washington Times ^ | 01/19/2016 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 01/19/2016 5:27:37 AM PST by GIdget2004

A spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign said Tuesday it would be a "blow" to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin if she endorsed businessman Donald Trump for president.

"I think it [would] be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion for the conservative cause, and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly, she would be endorsing someone who's held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion," Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler said on CNN's "New Day."

But the Cruz constituency is critical for a general election victory. If they are not aboard and don't show up, it will be an electoral disaster.

Too late. Have seen several , including myself that will vote for most conservative 3rd party candidate.

And before claiming that it will give the election to the dims, I fully expect Trump to make a hard left after being elected, Rather the dims be blamed than GOP.

Phony to the core, and an establishment Trojan Horse, just like his NWO wife. FAIL

It chills me that others do not know this or do not believe this.

A person cannot be married to a Wall Street / CFR member without getting some of the stink on you.

A person cannot work for and support elitist GOP leaders without owning some of the results.

Is there a conservative 3rd party candidate?

Will you still be voting down ticket? Maybe that's all we can hope for.

I pretty much vote for the most conservative candidate in every case. Here in TX that often will be GOP.

Just like a person cannot support and donate to leftist politicians and causes for years without owning some of the results - like maybe Trump with his support of Reid, Pelosi, Clinton, Schumer, de Blasio, Cuomo, Planned Parenthood, etc., etc.?

Yep. Time to be magnanimous. It’s hard not to take the troll bait but I trying. It’s tough though when people equate Trump to AIDS and such

If we don't stop illegal immigration, then Texas will be the prime target. If we lose a conservative Texas, then this nation will be transformed to a 3rd world peonage.

While illegal immigration is important to me, it is probably not important to God. At least in America the illegal aliens coming across the border are not Mulsims, they are christians and they are having the children that Americans are aborting.

My number one concern is that we move our country back to its moral roots. Trump is not a leader that will do that. He has all the morality of an alley cat and all the conviction of a sociopath.

I am sad to see Sarah Palin succumbing to Donald Trump's wiles.

If Ted Cruz is not going to be the chosen standard bearer for the Tea Party and Christian evangelicals, then I will look elsewhere. Perhaps Rubio. Perhaps Kaisich. Perhaps Huckabee.

Right now I am fully on board with Cruz. If he doesn't survive the current war against him by the Trump cult, then I will look elsewhere.

See tagline.

I did look before I replied (& I hate that it’s come to that), so yes, I know.

You know they say ‘politics ain’t bean bag’. And someone posted about how vicious the elections in the distant past were.

I hate it that it has to be so unsportsman-like, but I guess that’s just the way it is. I love politics, but it probably really is ‘men’s work’.

TO ALL: (not to you Gidget, just all in general)

Does every thread about Cruz or Trump have to turn into a verbal trashing of either? Can't it just rest for a spell.

Every stinky thread has to turn into a bash fest, sickening.

Yeah and it might be time to walk back your dig:

Sadly...The Beer Hunter (Palin) has become a national joke.

Who has been feeding you lines?

Palin is as strong and as relevant as always.

The eGoP is scared to death of her and Trump.

I'll bet when Rove heard the news he made a damp spot in his XXXL depends.

Time will tell. The Beer Hunter! Has thou forgotten the beer bash at the old homestead?

That is where it comes from.

Seems appropriate now that the Jedi have deployed the Old Jackie (Jack Daniels)Mind Trick on one of the boys.

Jedi Code- Old No. 7.

I certainly hope that she helps. I am still holding out for Trump/Cruz. But then those N.Y. values reared up their ugly heads again...this time in Alaska.

May the Force be with us all!

Jedi. There is no back, forward only it must be!

Well it is a war, it’s one of the way power switches hands. In other times and other places its done much more violently, but the end goal is the same.

But I would rather Trump further convince us of his views and positions by bringing forth more substantive information. Just bruising your way through someone, unnecessarily damaging a decent person’s reputation(as opposed to Clinton’s indecent) reputation.

And the thing about Trump, he is capable of doing that but he seems more comfortable damaging people.

It’s like how he went after Scott Walker, I know a lot about Walker and what he’s achieved in Wisconsin. Trumps attacks will be used as attacks by the Dems next election. If Trump wins, he is going to want governors like Walker to help spread his agenda. Well nuff said. I trust Sarah’s judgement and integrity and perhaps she will have some impact on how Trump does things....Later

A few moments in my mind is like an E-ticket ride at Disney. I should rent it out for parties.

6 weeks from now...we may never hear of Palin again. She is here now for 1 reason only.....BEAT CRUZ!

You and many others overvalue her usefulness to those of us on the right. She has become something different from who she once espoused to be.

That reality revealed itself today!

I guess we don’t see it the same way. The supporters of each candidate have certainly been rowdy, but it’s just been the ‘normal noises’ as far as the candidates go. My second choice was Bobby Jindal, but boy, he really ran it into the ground & broke it off.

So far, Trump has gone significantly further than any of the other candidates in detailing his policies. That has stopped- partly because it’s been interrupted by all the mudslinging & partly because other candidates; Cruz especially, started adopting his policies & claiming them as their own or ‘’they thought of it first’’
Why bother going into detail, under those circumstances?

Trump hits back. Cruz’s eligibility issue is a valid one- not just for Cruz’s sake, but for the sake of our stability as a country & the republican party. This kinda thing is right up the democrats’ alley & after 2000, they would LOVE to be handed an opportunity like that. Add in that Cruz was so involved in 2000 & it is a recipe for chaos. We can’t afford that. I don’t believe for a minute that Trump intended to use it to damage Cruz.

Trump is already making mincemeat out of the Clintons. And he’s just getting warmed up.

First part, that has been said many times and always proved false.

Second part, your misguided opinion has been noted.

You and many others overvalue her usefulness to those of us on the right. She has become something different from who she once espoused to be.

You are on the right? Oh, OK. You're declaration is duly noted.

She is espoused to a guy named Todd.

Your duly noted is duly dismissed.

She is very helpful in local races. Invaluable and a game changer at a district level. Sarah has in fact assisted in a positive manner in this way.

On a national level outside the “bible belt” where the lamestream government media complex still, to somewhat of an extent; control the narrative...not so effective.

Though SNL will be must see t.v. over the next month or so.

As far as a litmus test for those on the right? It is that sort of foolhardiness that is hopefully destroying the last vestiges of the Chamberpot led GOPe and their portfolio first minions.

Freegards.
