I take an admittedly contrarian approach. Willard and McQueeg lost because the base stayed home. Get the base jumping up and down excited and you’ll win.
I want to see Trump make a bold outsider move with his VP pick to send a signal that he's his own man beholden to no one, and that he doesn't need the entrenched establishment to succeed.
Maybe even send a strong signal that he plans to either replace them or do without them, while they scheme about how to work we him.
