Please cite the relevant law that says that? There’s two ways to be a citizen, natural born and naturalization. Cruz did not have to be naturalized, my children did not have to be naturalized even though they were born in Berlin while I was serving this country overseas. Please don’t try and pass off this crap and say they are 2nd class citizens.

I wasn't. Children of diplomats, ambassadors and military members are considered natural born because even though they leave the country, it's because they're in service TO it, so the political tie is still there.

§ 217. Children born in the armies of the state.
For the same reasons also, children born out of the country, in the armies of the state, or in the house of its minister at a foreign court, are reputed born in the country; for a citizen who is absent with his family, on the service of the state, but still dependent on it, and subject to its jurisdiction, cannot be considered as having quitted its territory.
Vattel, The Law of Nations, Or, Principles of the Law of Nature, Applied to the Conduct and Affairs of Nations and Sovereigns

I was stating the general rule for most people and didn't bother stating the exceptions. My bad.
