Many in the Military married foreigners and had children born abroad. I’m sure I could find clever wordsmiths who would paint anyone opposed as Anti-Military. This is the world we live in, it may not be fair and it may not conform to your interpretation, but I would be trying to influence jellyfish politicians, not keyboard constitution experts. How do you think they would come down on this issue?

They would go to wherever the prevailing winds take them. My point is simply this, to be a "natural born" citizen, both your parents must be American citizens, irrespective of your place of birth.

The child of an American diplomats or service members, both citizens, stationed in a foreign land is a natural born citizen. A child born of an American and a non-American citizen in a foreign country is not a natural born citizen. He or she may be a citizen, but not "natural born". Frankly, I have always felt that Obama was not a natural born citizen, even if he was born in the US.

We learned in grade school - the definition was even more restrictive, if you were not born in the US, it was understood that you were not a natural born citizen.
