Indeed. Primary season at FR is not for the faint of heart. Words of wisdom from my own experience:
- Give as good as you get.
- Keep it about the issues. Leave the personal insults out of it.
- Ignore the hypersentive folks. It’s easy to get caught up in it. We’ve all been there and done that.
- If you haven’t been flamed by FReepers, you ain’t livin’.
- If you mess up, you’ll get thumped by the mods. It only stings for a little bit. (Ask gunner. He’ll tell ya.) They’re very tolerant and very forgiving.
- Jim’s policy of light-hand-on-the-tiller-because-freepers-will-work-it-out is a good thing. You’ll come to appreciate and admire it. True story.
I am with poster #88.... So much rides on this year for elections. We absolutely cannot have Hillary the crook or Bernie the socialist kill what remains of a once great nation.
Republicans, conservatives, libertarians, and whoever else claims to have any patriotism left needs to do the best for America and get behind which ever nominee wins this summer. I was worried that at one time the Gope had selected Je b Bush, but thanks to Trump and 14 other candidates, Jeb is no longer a viable candidate.
So, vote for your guy in the primary, but be a grownup when it comes to voting for America! By the way, I didn’t see any democrats lining up to give to our Vets... Isn’t it about time we stop punishing our men and women in uniform by electing Democrats who hate our military. After all, they put their lives on the line for us....
Anyone who sits home and doesn’t vote hurts them more the rest of us!
