You get Congress, you get them together, you get everybody together in a room, you cajole, you get along, you have dinner and you make deals.

All Cruz could do is shut down the Government and let the Progs use it for 100 year lock on the White House.
Cruz Derangement Syndrome. Trump has it.
Coming to our TV's sooner or later, in a barrage of negative ads?
If you're not already an advertising copy writer, maybe you're in the wrong profession!
America doesn't have a hundred years as things are going. We have less than ten years until everything collapses the way things are currently going. Perhaps a lot less. FedGov is so huge and expensive that drastic action to cut that behemoth is our only hope.
Afaik, Mike Lee’s only issue was being included in the teddy bear/soccer ball/foreign invader welcoming party. Otoh, if Lee is campaigning for Cruz, I haven’t heard about it. I haven’t heard that Lee endorsed Cruz either. Maybe Lee has done both of those things. But you’d think, if he had, that Cruz supporters would have posted that info a million x by now.
Exactly right.
Can’t listen to Beck with the incessant over-talking.
Trump’s nobama vote has been confirmed by others. Are you trying to deny it?
I am hoping your analysis is correct. But I just don’t have a lot of confidence in the sensibility of many sheeple.
There are only 3 real possibilities for GOP Nom, Cruz, Trump and Rubberio. Of those I am sure Cruz will bring up both nobama’s and the dem’s disservice to America. Trump maybe (depending on who he wants to ‘negotiate’ with later), Rubberio probably will not.
As much as I admire Ben Carson, I think nobama has insured it will be minimum of one generation before another black will stand any chance.
It’s been debunked. You’re a rumor monger.
That is exactly what you do. Trump will have Mitch and the boys down to Maralago and the next thing you know they will be voting his agenda through just as smooth as silk.
The difference is that "reaching across the aisle" as practiced by our RINO representatives means "giving the Democrats whatever they want without a fight".
"Making a deal" means respecting your opponents' power, using leverage effectively on your constituents' behalf, not giving anything away without extracting a concession on their end, boiling the deal down to what few things you can agree on, then holding their feet to the fire to uphold their end of the bargain.
Assuming you are right, 4 or 8 years down the road we get another statist America hating Democrat and he brings us back to Obamadays.
We need someone that understands we dont want government controlling our lives. Gets government out of the way, makes the permanent changes that brings more power back to we the people.
Sure Trump might end up being some great manager of the federal government, but I am the best manager of my own life.
Government has its place and everyone here knows its stepped out of those bounds. So you decide whether you want to keep on this rollercoaster of good/bad managers every 4/8 years or you want someone that brings back to more permanent liberty. Even with the latter we will always be one generation from losing our freedoms.
If you have listened to Trump he also wants to cut the govt down to size. He is well aware that the Bureacracy is ruining us.
Debunking by j.argese counts only with j.argese, unless you can verifiably document by some reliable source. Until then its a hard fact even if its hard for lemmings to swallow.
TRUMP VOTED FOR NOBAMA.
Source?
Bye Troll.
Here’s the exact context in which Trump said this...(omitted in this thread’s original post).....
Trump explained that despite criticisms from conservative talk show hosts Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin on how he is attacking Cruz, he has to insist that Cruz’s inability to get along with his colleagues in Congress would be detrimental to deal-making as president.
“[I] have to do what I have to do,” Trump said. “You know, I want to make America great again. I have to get things done. When you have somebody that can’t get along with anybody in Washington, you’re not going to get deals done. I mean, you have to get deals done.
We can’t always keep invoking executive orders like Obama does because he can’t get deals. You know, here’s another guy who can’t get a deal done so he sits behind a desk signs an executive order, he gets sued and let’s see what happens in five years from now, OK? But that’s not the way do you it.
You get Congress, you get them together, you get everybody together in a room, you cajole, you get along, you have dinner and you make deals. And you know everybody hates Ted. It’s a very tough thing. They all hate him for a lot of reasons, but they all hate him.
And by the way he’s attacked me so when he attacks me as you know I’m a counter-puncher. You’ve seen a lot of people attack me and you see where they are. He attacked me first.”
The entire interview was a good interview....here’s the link to the entire F&F’s interview...

Context doesn’t seem to matter much to some. Pretty sad.
Deals will be made. That is a given. What’s important are the principles and skills of the dealmaker.
