Please use your indoor voice. Thank you. :)
As for the cross, it is a metaphor of our submission to the Lord Jesus Christ, and our recognition that He died for our sins. Without coming to that moment of seeking God's forgiveness, being made a new creation in Christ, being born again, there is no salvation.
BTW, this is not judgment. God is judge. This is just obedience. Jesus told His followers to spread the Gospel to every creature, so that's what we do. Some folks embrace it, realize their need of a Savior, and come to Christ for forgiveness. Those who don't are lost. Again, we don't make the rule. We just try to obey it.
Why? Because of love. Nothing is more unloving than to tell someone dying of a curable disease that they are just fine. You've got to tell them they've got a problem. They need to deal with it. It's called tough love. Paul talks abut it. Love rejoices in the truth. It's the truth that if someone hangs out in fellowships where outrageous sin is embraced as normal, where the murder of unborn children is spoken of as a "ministry," where the reality of the resurrected Jesus is treated as mythology, then I'm sorry, but that person hasn't got a clue how much spiritual danger they're in, and love demands that believers try to warn them. If some take offense at the warning, Jesus said it would be so, and so we will stay at it until the fall of night.
Peace,
SR
