Not in my church. I’d have to get up and leave if I heard this kind of talk.
The operative term is “kings” plural as in all Christians not “king” singular as in one man. My impression, watching the sermon was that they believe that all Christians are kings and that the church will ultimately be so successful that it will help speed Christ’s return. Again bad theology, but I don’t think it is that far out of the mainstream of the amillenial viewpoint.
Yep, please do post it. As a committed Cruzer, I'm begging you to post it. Because I'd pick a boring old Southern Baptist (Ted Cruz) over a PCUSA liberal (Trump) anytime. Or didn't you know that Trump's "Presbyterian" denomination was wacko liberal, pro-gay, pro-abortion, pro-planned parenthood, pro-Palestinian, etc.?
Peace,
SR
You just can’t stop insulting others, can you>
You appear to be incapable of posting anything positive and factual about your own choice of candidate.
In the secular side there is an interview that Donald gave back in the 80’s stating that he was born for a reason.
No different.
So lets eliminate Trump and Cruz and vote for any of the establishment who believe they are Kings and Rulers - what could go wrong?
Is his father campaigning for him?
Do you think the dems care?
Just to let you know Springfield Reformer, Winston Churchill ran as both a Labor candidate and a Conservative Candidate. He switched parties as to the opportunity to win a seat. If a seat looked good, he would stroll over to the town and put down his name as running under whatever party he thought would give him a seat. Not knocking Winston here. I just thought it was a fascinating insight I read in his eight volume biography.
Well, I suppose we are all born for a “reason”...some to be a good example, others, to be a warning.
So, if Christ asked you- do you believe in the Baptist?
What might you say?
Is his father running for President?
No, but he’s a big part of his campaign. I get that he’s very proud of his son, but I don’t think even HW campaigned with W as much as Ted’s dad does. I don’t recall a dad ever being such a big part of any candidate’s campaign.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s a bad thing if true (if the video hasn’t been altered).
This is the FIRST time I have ever seen this video and knew about the event/s, so attempting to start a flame war with me, is useless.
There is prayer and then their is THIS thing; BIG difference!
And then there are the uneducated, here, who didn't know that Presbyterians take communion and even more, from your side, who know NOTHING at all about that sect of Christianity and make idiotic remarks and insults about Trump and his beliefs.
Compared to what I have just seen and heard, I'll take Presbyterianism over that...whatever that was, any day of the week and twice on Sundays!
Sorry folks, I gotta go now and get some work done on this book...I have been putting it off, but its after ten and the best thinking and writing is after ten at night... so thanks for the fun everyone. Folks were civil and behaved themselves...that is good. We might support different candidates, thats fine, but in the end, we are all FRiends.
Goodnight...
No surprise, considering your posting history.
Its all through the Bible, but you can start with Daniel chapter 4 (the chapter written by Nebuchadnezzar)
25. That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
I was responding to simply this-
“Ted Cruz’s Father: My Son “Anointed” To “Take Control of Society”..
As I sit here looking at it again as I construct this post, it just strikes me as kind of, ahh, off or something I do not prefer.
Cheers to you too, abigkahuna! Yep politics is a great sport, sometimes it do make me mad though :D
The video has been altered. Parts of two different sermons and a separate prayer service have been spliced together in a way that is designed to make you think that Cruz Sr. is talking about his son when actually he is talking about the congregation as a whole.
I’ve noticed the same from him as well.
It is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out there !
Oh, you mean the highly edited five minutes of an highly prejudicial 8 minute video which slanders the character of a 1 hr sermon and the character of the man who gave it, as well as 10s of hours of other sermons, freely available online for anyone's perusal.
If you care to be critical of the man, at least do him the justice of hearing him.
What shameful false witness.
