Believe me, we traditional Catholics are very used to this. Liberal bishops who are all sweetness and light to heretics and notorious sinners then bring down the iron fist on "troublemakers" who like Latin.
Anything he says that is at odds with the traditional teaching of the Church is null and void on its face. It would be well for Catholics to remember that.
You just wanted to stop giving money. Shallow.
Oh they will!
Perhaps that is not enough for your piety, oh well.
I believe that what you label piety is actually a recognition of the precepts/basic requirements to be a Catholic. See: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_P75.HTM
You argue not with me or your sister, but with all the Church Triumphant, the Magisterium, Trent, the saints, etc. This requirement goes back to the 4th century: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/14335a.htm.
I refuse to support a "Church" that sees no compassion for M.E. Christians, but manages to support Christianity's enemies.
I am a Believer in my faith but not with the terribly flawed humans running the show at the moment. We all sin, I ask and pray for the Lordâs forgiveness every day.
I'm a B16-lovin', traddy-leaning woman. Our current Pope frustrates me to the point I ignore virtually all that comes him. I too don't understand how he (and many) are so blind to the situation. But the Evil One attacks Christ's ministers with all his might.
I'm not sure what your sister's motivation is, but I'm posting only out of a concern for your soul. And you risk your eternal life because without perfect contrition, there is no absolution.
Perhaps you are not as ... I'm not sure how to say this without it sounding insulting, but I mean no offense. If the Church Herself defines the very bare minimums, I gain no praise by fulfilling these minimums (is that Jesus I echo, or perhaps Paul?). If I choose not to submit to that which is required regardless of current Pontiff, Bishop or Priest, am I not truly the same as a liberal dissenting cafeteria Catholic?
Obedience is one of the toughest requirements of being Catholic. But you can certainly attend Mass, neither donating nor receiving the Body of Christ. I will pray for both you and your sister.
Ann Archy is wrong, I did not wish to leave. I am not a catechism scholar, nor do I wish to be. Guess in your eyes, I am no longer a an RC, thanks for the notice.
I have a pretty good relationship with the Father, St. Mary, St. Jude and St Anne.
They saved my life.
But you all can feel free to shoot them a text and let them know that they saved a very lost soul.
I am not wothy of them, but to be honest, Pope Francis is not worthy of his flock.
The Shariah: be there or be headed.
Thank you for the lovely photo. Actually brought a tear to my eye.
I’m sick to death of what Pope Francis says, and I do pray daily that our Lord show us a way out of this darkness.
Would it be wrong to say FUPF?
Can you add anything to this? Just curious. Thanks
