Key word being American. He will not win either the primary or the general. Ted Cruz just bashed an entire state. Name another candidate who has bashed the stated of Texas on live television? And he cannot say that he meant the liberal policy card because Austin and Houston are almost as liberal as NYC. Meaning others would be claim Texas Values in a derogatory sense from a conservative perspective.
He did not even know he was a dual citizen as a sitting Senator in 2013 and when he found out he took his time to renounce it.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz vowed months ago to renounce his Canadian citizenship by the end of 2013. It's now 2014, and the Calgary-born Republican lawmaker is still a dual citizen. That is just weird that a sitting Senator would not know let along immediately renounce his Canadian citizenship once he found out.

Ted Cruz just bashed an entire state. Name another candidate who has bashed...Some of us conservatives in NY said, right on Ted!
But using your logic, Trump bashed the entire state of Iowa.

We know this is a political race....shots will be fired....and framed to say something they are not.....I've researched Cruz long before he ran....anything that's thrown at him now is just the same ridiculous stuff we've seen before in these races.......and it's always media driven....they like to see fights because it “sells” to THEIR audiences...ratings matter.
I am not concerned one iotta about Cruz......he's doing exactly as he needs to be doing to win this. ..and I will give him lots and lots of room to appeal to all the voters he can pull in under his belt.

Our public officials don’t need to be up on the laws of Canada. It was up to Canada if they wanted to make Cruz a citizen or not. He didn’t ask for it.
New York City is nearly half the population of the entire state of New York. Not so for Texas’ liberal cities. It’s a state that elected a sitting governor who went on the air and said pro-life, pro-assault-weapon conservatives are not welcome there.
