Assuming these people weren’t military or working for the government in some capacity, I say “Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.” You know the risks in going there, and the US Government shouldn’t bail you out if you assume those risks.

Yah, I think I can go with that. Tell the Iranians that
they might as well turn these new hostages into new
Iranian citizens for all we care.
In fact, if Isis can coerce American youth into going to
the Mideast to become Jihad cannon fodder then Iran should
be able to induce some dumbass Americans into being
rent-a-hostages for the revolution. The US will bite
on it sooner or later.
