Considering D.C., let alone the Courts, can’t/don’t seem to read it, understand nor follow the same...what’s it matter?
Oh, they LOVE to spout off chapter and verse, unless it’s A1S8, 9th, 10th...
Let’s not even begin with the precedent vs. source, penumbras, standing and ‘compelling govt interest’
This part of your post is an outright lie. You ought to retract it, but I don’t suppose you will.
Itâs good to hear it now, but I would be more impressed if he made these comments back when Roberts was nominated.

Who would be more likely to know?
A business man or the person who brought him into the Bush administration?
Ping.
Roberts has certainly been unreliable.
Lets just ask his beard.
The only problem is that Bush didn’t know him until Cruz brought him in on the Florida recount.
Because he was a supposed conservative.
On the subject of SCOTUS Nominees...
This is an interesting read.
Cruz later criticized Roberts, but it was too late.
Read who brought him on board the Bush team.
Read the praise he had for him during the nomination process.
See if you recognize any catch phrases in there. These are the exact terms Cruz uses to describe himself, and my inclination is to consider the terms probably about as accurate.
Constitutional Expert / John Roberts / Really?

Trump is correct but what has Cruz said about Roberts? I remember he really spoke highly of him in the past. Has Cruz said anything specific about Roberts since the OCare ruling?
Thanks for the ping.
Agreed, an interesting read, but nothing in there supports your statement that “Ted Cruz brought John Roberts on board in the Bush administration.”
Cruz did no such thing. The Roberts nomination was suggested by Jeb Bush, and championed by the late Fred Thompson. Cruz advocated for another candidate whose name I can’t remember ATM, and my quick research hasn’t helped refresh it.
Long story short, Cruz got on board once his boss, George W. Bush (he was President, you recall?) selected Roberts. Cruz worked for Bush, and surely you can’t think that Cruz would have worked AGAINST Roberts’ confirmation in the Senate at that point.
The truth is that Cruz played a nearly insignificant role in securing the nomination for Roberts. Any other read of the facts completely overstates the importance of Ted Cruz and his influence at the time.

And who does he think would be good on the supreme court?
His sister:
Wouldn’t that be sweet.
It would be like a triple decadent chocolate fudge cake sweet. I would pick Clarence and invite Anita to the swearing in . . . just for some cherry on top.

“Cruz, Justice Roberts Have History”
He might have a bit more credibility on this subject if he didn’t recently join leftists in ripping Antonin Scalia and suggest his lunatic leftist sister would be a great supreme court judge.
Hank
How do you know Trump wasn’t being serious when he said his sister would be a phenomenal Supreme Court justice?
FReepers have short memories......Everyone was for him before they were against him.......LOL!
As a side note, the same thing can be said about President Bush and his decision to go to war.........
