I’m not a huge fan of Webb’s but he checks a lot of boxes for a general election: Virginia (Battleground state), USMC (nat. sec. experience), Dem (”bipartisan”), experience campaigning but not currently in the beltway, etc.
Trump needs some national security experience in his VP pick. That’s his glaring weakness, IMO.

We’ve had 30+ years of reckless, destructive foreign and domestic policies. Which looted Middle America by the crowns of corruption in D.C. National security has declined to a point where it’s embarrassing. Where our borders are violent and lawless while those in charge of national security now demand we import hundreds of thousands more from Islamic countries.
