Trump knows Cruz respects first responders. The post was unnecessary but not fatal.
Frankly I look forward to these two burying the hatchet and teaming up to deliver a smackdown on the establishment.

That will not happen. It could if it were just up to Cruz... he has continued to say nice things about Trump through it all.
