Again, the Donald is just desperately grasping at straws here. Had Ted Cruz told one crowd that he was for gay marriage and another against, he might be hypocritical, but that’s not the case.
Here’s now CNN reports his response:
Cruz declined to comment on the Times report when asked by a CNN reporter during an appearance in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday. But speaking to reporters at a church not far from Charlotte on Saturday, Cruz, who once declined to attack Trump, shed any caution he may have had about laying into his top rival.
“I would note that Donald’s record does not match what he says as a candidate,” Cruz said, gamely tackling questions he routinely swatted away for seven months.
Cruz also aggressively ridiculed Trump’s obsession with the latest opinion surveys, saying that Trump’s attacks on Twitter come because he is “dismayed” about a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showing a competitive race.
“I imagine it pulled him out of bed this morning and send him tweeting and tweeting and tweeting,” he said. “I think in terms of a commander in chief, we ought to have someone who isn’t springing out of bed to tweet in a frantic response to the latest polls.”
Cruz referred repeatedly to an interview Trump did with NBC News’ Tim Russert 17 years ago, in which he defines his “New York values” as distinct from “Iowa values.” Cruz said those values — pro-abortion rights, including supporting partial birth abortion and pro-gay marriage — explained Trump’s world view. And he dredged up the former Democrat’s donation history to some of the state’s leading politicians, including Hillary Clinton.
“Given the fact that for much of his life, Donald was financially supporting those politicians — writing checks to Hillary Clinton, writing checks to Andrew Cuomo — it is a fair inference that he supports their policies,” Cruz said.
The Texas senator, then asked for some differences on national security between him and Trump, offered that was unaware of what Trump’s foreign policy is.
“To be honest, I don’t know what Donald’s position is,” Cruz said.

Donald has been left of center his whole existence, and was only a friend of conservative politicians if it helped his businesses.
And the loan was properly filed, and paid off. The Feds pulled up other paperwork and had him fill those out in addition to the original. But I am sure you do not see it that way.

Trump’s a blowhard slinging mud at an arrogant junior senator who spent many years as a lawyer. How befitting this slugfest is between two politicians who will be lame ducks anyway. Nothing is going to change with the graft and corruption running amok within the federal regime. Nothing.
It’ different because the Goldman Sachs money went straight into Cruz’s campaign account, and Ted didn’t disclose that to the public during the campaign.
Internal polls in Iowa must show Cruz losing ground in Iowa.
Hence the attacks from Cruz(R-Goldman Sachs)

It has to do with campaign finance laws. Big difference. The laws are designed to prevent George Soros types from dumping millions into a campaign to buy offices. They do it, but the laws are supposed to make it harder with consequences if found out.

Which will have a bigger impact? Iranian nukes and ICBMs or a 17 year old interview with Trump?
He has no issues except DT propaganda.
Teddy has the best favorables and the best unfavorables. DT is hitting Teddy like the Huckster only the Huckster was smart enough to let surrogates do it in 2008.
My vote goes for the true conservative.
Pro tip...most of flyover country despises rude and obnoxious New Yawkers, who seem to think that the whole world revolves around them.
That says everything about DT’s character. He has none.
