The liberal and Gope establishment sure are jumping up to attack Cruz for being politically incorrect and criticizing the socially liberal values of New York. Its funny that so many Trump supporters who wanted Trump to tear up all of the politically correct rules are now excited to watch him turn into the enforcer of political correctness.
This was especially hypocritical of Trump when he gave a televised interview to Tim Russert where he said that the reason he was pro choice (even against a ban on partial birth abortion) and pro gay rights was that he grew up in New York City. He even distinguished New York values from Iowa values by saying that maybe he would have had different views if he had grown up in Iowa.
So, Trump knows what New York values are, he just would rather stand with his socially liberal friends and attack a social conservative for daring to criticize the social liberalism of New York.
