the story pushed by the Administration is obviously phony. to believe it, you have to believe:
-both boats lost GPS and all ded reckoning ability
-both lost radio and back up radio
-both lost engine power
-both were lost on radar by the fleet
all of which happening at the same time is flatly impossible.
so, what is the real story?
Maybe we need to scrap those troublesome boats and get some Boston Whalers. The BWs seem more capable
My guess is that the rules of engagement are so tight and they were so outgunned that they decided not to shoot.
The mullahs with the yacht catalogs intervened and slapped down the Revolutionary Guard commanders so they can get their toys on schedule.
They have lottery fever just like we did earlier in the week except they KNOW they're getting the money if they just don't screw it up.
Go back further to Carter and his non answer to islamic terrorism in the 70’s.
What we have is three feckless presidents, Carter never understood the islamic mindset,he never understood, the only thing barbarians understand, is force.
Clinton too busy shaking down foreign govts,
Obama either a terrorist fellow traveller or American hater, actually he is probably both.
Louie Gohmert said on TV the other day that Ash Carter said he and Kerry contacted the Iranians and told them that they had two boats lost and could they help find them. So basically dropped a dime on their own military. I think that’s called treason. This was another publicity stunt to coordinate with OMuslim’s SOTU address and prisoner swap and shut everybody up about lifting the sanctions on the $150 billion.
One would expect sailors to be summoned by Congress to find out what happened.
Naaaah!
Ryan is too busy growing beard.
Travis McGee (Matthew Bracken) tells the sorry story here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3384432
Precisely.
It is four days ago that it happened and still no details? Preparations being made for a “plausible” story?
And we evidently don’t put compasses in boats these days. Ancient mariners did well on the unknown seas without GPS, satellites, fleet radars and communication equipment. Doubt these were even sailors dressed as they were.
did iran test a jamming device to defuse all those electronics. When i was a boater we always kept track on a chart and via log so that if needed we could proceed without electronics. Is this even taught today?
“This is flat out impossible.”
Not with a jammer.

that’s what i think it’s back to loran
I was just wondering if the loran system is still functioning and maintained. Then would these boats have receivers? Looks like it is dead.

I know....what is being reported makes no sense.
And then they change it completely, and report a different version of events.
None of what is being released to the public passes the smell test.
i don’t believe the military grad gps is easily jammable, its not the same as the civilian system. plus, any navy boat is supposed to keep a running log so DED reckoning can be done just in case electronics fail. i find it impossible skippers on both boats make the same mistake at the same time. not going to happen.
And after both suffering these problems... they were captured by 3 guys on the SS Minnow....
