THE NIGHT OF JANUARY 16, 1938

BENNY GOODMAN AT CARNEGIE HALL

The title is a tribute to a picture series in "Life" magazine covering an evening with the band. There are solos for sax (Babe Russin), clarinet (Goodman), piano (Jess Stacy) and trumpet (Harry James). Goodman and James wrote this number.

Krupa and James were to leave the band shortly after this concert to go out on their own. The band never sounded this good again.
