Gee, now that he has a massive personal incentive, he is suddenly saying that his core beliefs are different... why, that's unprecedented! Nobody would ever just SAY things that are in their short-term best interests, would they??? Well, assuming they might (as if, for some unknown reason, an ego-driven guy might like to maybe take the most powerful seat on earth, say), let's look at what he has DONE differently in the recent past, to test his actual commitment to these assertions...

Trump has MUCH to offer, and I will vote for him if Cruz isn't the nominee... but the amount of baseless and blind faith in him is staggering. The Cult of Personality is one powerful force.
BS. In 2012 Trump was saying Romney was “mean-spirited” on illegal immigration. In 2005 Trump loved the Kelo decision, the taking of private property by developers using eminent domain. All well after 1999.
The list is long if you had one shred of honesty.
Trump stayed consistent on being O.K. with gay marriage, gays in the military and abortion, including partial birth abortion until Romney blew it in 2012. Suddenly Trump did a 180 degree turn.
I don’t believe that a man of Trump’s age had that kind of complete metamorphosis. At the same time he copyrighted the slogan ‘Make America Great Again’. Some coincidence.
Apparently his values are still “evolving” depending on the latest poll numbers...
What has Trump done to show that he is a conservative now? And I do mean done, not said - anyone can play to their audience in a campaign speech.
