“Lack of standing” worked well for every other similar lawsuit brought in the past.
This country sometimes has the very best legal system that can be bought. Depends on who puts in the highest bid, gets the most justice.
And the justice system only defines what is “legal” or “illegal”, it does not define right and wrong.

Absulutely and that’s exactly why Trump is pushing it, to muddy up the water.
He knows full well that only if/after Cruz becomes President will the case be “ripe” for litigation and decision.
Disingenous for sure but then The Donald is hardly notorious for being a straight shooter.
To: Lockbox
That's right. What's behind this is the question of Obama's eligibility and whether it would be decisive ex post facto.

This seems to be much more of a big deal vs Obama’s questionable status.

"An 85-year-old lawyer, who claims no party affiliation, has filed a 28 page complaint with the U.S. District Court seeking expedited determination of the eligibility of Senator Ted Cruz to be President of The United States."
The 85-year old Attorney is Houston-based Newton B. Schwartz.
Schwartz has carried water for the Democrat Party via political contributions to folks such as Jean Carnahan, James Oberstar, and Forward Together PAC.

The Court will look for some way to wiggle out of hearing this case.
To: Lockbox
It would be best to get this legally resolved EARLY in the primary season, so it can’t become an issue in the general election.

Claiming that "time is of the essence" because of the rapidly approaching Iowa caucuses and March 1 Super Tuesday primaries, Schwartz asked that the case be expedited for resolution by the nationâs highest court as soon as possible.

The old guy (age 85) is a lawyer, and a Bernie Sanders supporter.
He
claims he just wants to put the issue to rest.
I concur with THAT!
