Thanks for that info. If the Senate thinks giving Cruz a pass on NBC will help him beat Trump, they just might do it, even if they don’t like him. They can’t stand Trump.
The establishment is now warming up to Trump because they know he has no firm ideology, has held liberal positions in the past and still currently holds more liberal positions than Cruz on issues like Cuba, Snowden, NSA surveillance, religious liberty, etc. Cruz is the establishment’s real enemy. They will pick Trump over Cruz every time. They know Cruz is the real deal, is out to destroy their stranglehold on the country and cannot be talked out of it.
True, but they despise Cruz. They have already declined to take it up. The old lions of the Senate are the ones Cruz insulted, McConnell and McCain. I’m afraid they will let him swing and twist in the wind.
