I like Trump and he has spurred the debate our country needs.... but at the end of the day I wonder if President Trump ultimately strikes a deal with the GOPE and he and the GOPE both go down the road happy. Maybe not... but I fear that a little.

The only deal I can imagine that Trump would strike with the GOPe is that they go away and never come back and we forget they ever existed.

He could probably pull it off, too.

Who knows? At this point, I personally think that we would be so much better off with any of Trump, Cruz, or even Fiorina or ‘amnesty’ Rubio than we are with the current disastrous crowd. I’ll support whomever comes through - unless the GOPe disregards the voter’s choice and tries to install someone in a brokered convention. In that case, I’ll write in Rocky the Squirrel rather than vote for the person they try to pick for me.

I personally don’t think Trump would go along to get along with the GOPe. Why? Because if his intention was to do that I don’t think he would have bothered running. Even though being President is a ‘big deal’, I don’t think it is a big enough deal in his world such that he would go through this trouble if he wasn’t truly troubled about where the country is headed.

That is my worry, too. I like what he says, but he hasn’t sold me, yet. I’m not sure I can trust him.
