Exactly what I have been schooled on by residents of NY outside the sewer for years on FR. I admit being a freeform NYC trasher, so I have been corrected many a time not to include the rest of the state.
God knows there are other states dominated by ghettoized large cities politically.
Well the rest of the state is fairly moderate with some conservative enclaves. But they ALL resent Albany’s reallocation of taxes and everything else to NYC.
Look at Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo crumbling. All their tax money goes largely to fund NYC liberals desires. The Adirondack logging industry is all but dead so NYC has a vacation site to get back to nature.
NEVER let anyone from NYC tell you different. Ask people from upstate for the truth of that hole.
