I have felt that Trump was borrowing ideas from Cruz and steamrolling the media ahead of Cruz. But given the right timing, Trump could pass the mantle to Cruz. But the timing would have to be just right and Cruz would have to take up some of Trump's unapologetic political incorrectness.
